Excellence in Agriculture
This award recognizes the Queen Anne’s County business/individual that has demonstrated outstanding agricultural awareness over the past year. This awareness may include, but is not limited to, financial support or employee involvement in community agricultural activities, purchase and use of agricultural product in daily operations, development and promotion of agriculturally responsive programs, use of agricultural awareness to increase the company’s profit or other accomplishments demonstrating agricultural awareness.
Business Leader of the Year
This award recognizes the individual deserving of recognition for his/her significant contributions to business and the community in Queen Anne’s County. The honoree must work in Queen Anne’s County and their community service must have contributed to the betterment of the County.
Public Servant (Formerly Community Outreach)
This award recognizes the business or individual that has demonstrated outstanding service and involvement in the community over the past year. This service and involvement may include, but is not limited to, activities such as corporate sponsorships, employee volunteerism, corporate participation in community programs/events, employee or corporate fund drives or donations or community outreach.
Entrepreneur of the Year
This award recognizes an individual who serves as a majority owner and operates or bears principal responsibility for operating a small business with a three year track record.
Environmental Awareness Award
This award recognizes the Queen Anne’s County business/individual that has demonstrated outstanding environmental awareness over the past year. This awareness may include, but is not limited to, financial support or employee involvement in community environmental activities, purchase and use of recycled products in daily operations, development and promotion of environmentally responsive programs, use of environmental awareness to increase the company’s profit or other accomplishments demonstrating environmental awareness.
