Announcing the formation of a NEW Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla on Kent Island. This new flotilla will initially be under the sponsorship of the Easton Flotilla (054-21-03).
MISSION
The Coast Guard Auxiliary is a volunteer civilian organization under the U.S.Coast Guard. Our mission is service to the public through offering training and information on recreational boating safety. In the mid-Atlantic area there are approximately 3,500 Auxiliarists serving in marine safety, public affairs, public education, marine dealer visitation, courtesy vessel examination. We offer many program opportunities, on and off the water. Please consider joining us as we pursue our vital public service mission to save lives by preventing maritime accidents.
MEETINGS
Meetings will be held at the Piney Narrows Yacht Haven. An open house is planned for the near future. All interested are invited to attend this introductory meeting. Boat ownership is not a requirement to join the Coast Guard Auxiliary.
